Semi Automatic Tube Filling Sealing Machine

Application & Process

A Prism Semi-Automatic Tube Filling machine is a versatile piece of equipment used in various industries, such as pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, food, and more, to fill and seal tubes with products like creams, gels, ointments, pastes, and lotions.

Application: Semi-automatic tube filling machines are suitable for small to medium-scale production environments. They offer increased efficiency compared to manual filling and sealing while being more affordable than fully automatic machines. These machines can handle a wide range of tube sizes and materials, making them versatile for different products and industries.

Process: The process of using a semi-automatic tube filling machine typically involves the following steps:

  1. Tube Loading: Operators need to manually load empty tubes into the machine’s tube holders or magazine. The machine can accommodate multiple tubes at once, depending on its design.
  2. Product Filling: The operator sets up the machine according to the required fill volume for the product. The product to be filled is placed in a hopper or a reservoir connected to the machine. The machine then dispenses the predetermined amount of product into each tube. The filling can be done through a piston-based system or a pump-based system.
  3. Tube Orientation: Some machines may include an orientation step where the tube is positioned correctly before filling. This ensures that the tube’s opening is in the right position for sealing.
  4. Tube Sealing: After the tubes are filled, the operator manually places them under the sealing mechanism. The machine then seals the tubes using various methods, such as heat sealing, ultrasonic sealing, or crimping, depending on the type of tube and product being filled.
  5. Coding and Marking (Optional): If required, the machine can be equipped with a coding or marking system to print batch numbers, expiration dates, or other information on the tubes.
  6. Tube Ejection: Once the sealing and coding (if applicable) are completed, the operator removes the filled and sealed tubes from the machine.
  7. Cleaning and Maintenance: Regular cleaning and maintenance of the machine are essential to ensure its proper functioning and longevity. This step is typically performed by the machine operator or maintenance personnel.
