Application & Process

The Prism Oscillating Granulator is used for gentle Homogenization, Size Reduction, Grading and Sieving of Dry, Sensitive Powders and Granules in the Pharmaceutical, Nutraceuticals and Food Industries.

 

The Prism Oscillating Granulator consists of one rotor with five edges that oscillate on a horizontal axis at about 180 rotations per minute. There is a half-round sieve mounted at the bottom of the rotor. The product is fed through the in-feed hopper at the top, and the material falls onto the rotor blades. The particles are broken by a set of oscillating bars arranged in a cylindrical form over a screen of suitable mesh. Due to the sharp edges on the rotor, particle downsizing occurs, and the material is pushed outward through the bottom opening via the sieve.
