Application & Process

Prism Automatic Dry Syrup Powder Filling Machine is a compact machine used for filling Dry Syrup into bottles, making it highly suitable for a wide range of applications in PHARMA INDUSTRIES. It is built with a strong and robust powder-coated M.S. Angle frame Pipe Structure, which is encompassed with S.S. coverings in a matt-finish. The dry syrup filling line has a capacity of attending up to 12,000 containers per hour. It comprises a total of 24 heads for filling and has an accuracy of ± 2%.

 

The Prism Dry Syrup Filling  Machine can perform the operations of filling , protecting the container from falling out or any interaction with contaminants. It is compatible with glass & HDPE bottles having a round shape. The fill size achievable by the dry syrup filling line ranges from 3 gm. to 50 gm. with the help of change parts.

Operation:

The dried, sterilized, and siliconized containers are fed through the Infeed Turn Table onto the Infeed Delrin slat conveyor belt at the required speed to the feed work for correct spacing between two bottles, entering into the infeed starwheel. The infeed starwheel transfers the containers below the funnel.

 

The funnel plate, with 16 funnel mounts, is attached to the center pipe of the dry syrup filling machine, allowing flexibility to adjust the position of the wheel as needed, while occupying less space. The dry powder filling line has a lifter assembly on the base bottom of the plate. When the container is below the funnel, the bottom platform lifts the bottle, ensuring a tight fit inside the funnel.

 

The powder stored in the powder hopper is agitated by a pair of mechanical agitators to maintain consistency and uniform bulk density. The powder wheel rotates at a pre-set speed below the powder hopper with no clearance. The powder wheel consists of a piston in each port, and behind the powder wheel, a vacuum plate is provided with no clearance due to back spring pressure. A precise volume of powder is sucked into the port of the powder wheel during vacuum according to the piston length, enabling different fill volumes to be achieved.

 

The excess powder is doctored off by a doctor blade, and the doctor blades can now be adjusted from outside without removing the powder hopper. As the powder wheel indexes further and remains in the pot due to the vacuum until it reaches a vertical position, a timed dose of compressed air, sterilized low-pressure air, or nitrogen gas sequentially flushes out the powder from the port of the powder wheel into the funnel.

 

The funnel is equipped with a square rod to break solid slugs of powder, and the powder will start to fill inside the bottle while moving along with the funnel. The filling process takes around 5 to 6 seconds per bottle. The bottles then continue moving with the funnel and reach the exit starwheel.

 

After the filling operation, the filling head moves upward with the help of a cam, and the bottle enters the exit star wheel, moving further on the conveyor for the next operation.

  • The vacuum filter is made of PVC transparent material with a nylon cartridge of 10” length and 5 microns.
  • Machine can fill 10 gm to 50 gm of powder in a single stroke.
  • Main drive, an imported gear motor and an A.C. Frequency drive are used.
